Who would have thought we’d want to be dressing up like our grandmothers? Thanks to the Wildsuga collection, this season we will be happily embracing grandma chic into our lives.

The line, owned and designed by 29 year old Sarina Mantle, made a killer introduction on catwalks during London Fashion Week, which means our summer wardrobes will be taken over by floral patterns and frills. The small niche label with a big heart offers its customers an eclectic and colourful take on clothes that would be envied by our grandmothers, but is far too figure hugging and fashionable for them to even consider wearing. Think geek chic meets modish, youthful, granny meets vogue.

Enthused by her mother (a former dress maker), jumble sales, charity shops and her love of music, Sarina had always known it would only a matter of time before she was making and selling her own clothing. Still a fan of rummaging through clothes at Vintage shops and not one to neglect her conservation duties Sarina has created a sister collection called Eco-suga which uses recycled curtains and other re-used textiles. Sarina already shifts her Wildsuga collections at Spitalfields Market (East London) and soon hopes to be dominating Brick Lane’s Upmarket as well as opening her own boutique.
