Delicate. Romantic. Exquisite. These words describe the A/W collection of Spanish designer Ramon Gurillo named ‘Where the birds always sing.’  Handmade to perfeccion absoluta, Gurillo’s designs went down a treat with onlookers astounded by the intricate detail along with use of his colour palette.

His inspiration firstly started with a song by The Cure, ‘Bloodflowers’, and interpreted the lyrics ‘the world never stops, the wonder never leaves.’ He went on to create a collection of modern luxuries blending essences of grunge, couture and post punk elegance adding signature shapes like ‘the sculptured cocoon’. There were endless amounts of layering throughout; an oversized cape over a tunic or a crochet dress over a tube styled top. However this is what made his use of colour more interesting – mixing metallics on top of metallics, splashes of reds, yellow stripes with black. as the primary shade.

Overall, Ramon Gurillo’s signature elegant style and love of quality shone through, creating a versatile timeless collection which takes you through his travels of life and back to his Mediterranean heritage.
