There was quite a buzz surrounding the Iris Van Herpen show held at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout venue, the Freemasons Hall, on Saturday afternoon. Her albeit compact collection did not disappoint, with her abstract, almost conceptual take on women’s wear being visually stimulating. Her coil spring like armour dresses shone in the light of the venue, wowing the crowd. Like the rest of the fashion week designers, the palette was kept muted and simple, not deviating further from black and beiges with copper iridescence chucked in for good measure. Van Herpen has been pushing the boundaries with her designs, which will no doubt be seen on the backs of cool fashion mavens next season.
