Bernard Chandran’s show at On/Off was filled to the rafters with excitable journalists waiting to see with baited breath what gems he had put together for A/W ’10. Chandran’s collection showed an appreciation for the simpler garment, looking towards futurism with his colour palette of silver, grey and black & white.
Chandran’s dresses were well made, with consideration of the female shape, but it was the accessories that stole the show. His oversized chain mail gold bags were show-stopping, and an array of gorgeous statement bib necklaces really brought the show to the next level. Chandran flirted with the tropics, using shiny magenta hued feathers to create more over sized chain bags. Chandran is one to definitely keep on watching, with his collections each excelling each other season by season.
