Ashish Gupta has grown up. You can see it from the dazzling array of sparkling clothes interspersed with tweedier ‘dressed down’ garments. Ashish’s one-man endeavour to integrate sequins into the daily wardrobe is getting one step closer with his inclusion of sequin basics, or normal every day wear. Key pieces were his take on the traditional red and black check lumberjack shirt, fully sequinned and worn with rustic fabrics to create a chic, relaxed ensemble.
Ashish’s fun aesthetic definitely comes through with his brave baby blue teddy bear print sequin, which just screams of outlandish fun! Ashish’s nod to the geometric print trend didn’t go unnoticed either, his bold designs being worn on a maxi-dress easel. With Paloma Faith and Nicola Roberts taking place in the front-row, it’s clear that Ashish is one cool designer, his own fresh take will be all over next Autumn.
