Winter is deeply in our crevices right now. The Classic Car Company warehouse was the place for Fenchurch to build a catwalk, throw some dancers onstage, then strut their new shizzle towards a whole pile of guests nicely lubed up on Tuaca cocktails and nibbles. We forgot the biting cold outside and chased waiters around looking for some more roasted vegetables with goats cheese until showtime.

The womenswear was the stronger of the collection, with some proper yummy knits (we especially heart the glittery jumper style with low scoop neck and a keyhole back) and cute of-the-moment check shirt dresses. The men, while getting some bold check print buttondowns and cleverly constructed jumpers, were left with some less than desirable jeans and windbreakers that failed to spark. Layering and simplicity were the two key looks for Fenchurch, as styled for the night by Karen Langley. The company ackowledged their street skate roots by letting several energetic street dancers loose on the catwalk between changes, the onlookers suitably awed by the dexterity of their Capoeira/b-boy influenced moves.

Afterwards, DJ’s, including Toddla T, Nextmen, Mackaveli and Mo Fingaz, cranked up the speakers and played a whole pile of reggae, dancehall, two-tone and Miami dance that caused even the more mature of guests to get up on the catwalk and throw some Suggs-style dance moves. We’ve left some of those pics out for the sake of your health.
