This summer Onitsuka Tiger have collaborated with DJ superstar legend Eddie Halliwell to put his own spin on the classic Mexico 66 trainer. The result, is a firey creation of just a handful of limited edition trainers that can be won exclusively, as well as the chance for one lucky winner to visit Eddie in Ibiza!
Eddie Halliwell is a dance music DJ, well known on the UK and international club circuit. He has performed at the major dance events including Homelands, Escape into the Park, Magna and the Weekenders, and Gatecrasher Summer Sound System. Eddie is a pioneer in his field, and his ability to adapt other genres of music has earned him not only respect amongst fellow DJ’s but also admiration from stunned crowds.
The DJ legend has stamped his authority all over the famous Mexico 66 shoe and has gone for his trademark yellow/orange colours that are synonymous with his ‘Fire It Up’ brand. This is a new exciting area which Onitsuka Tiger have not explored and the first time they have cooperated with a celebrity to design a signature trainer.
There are only four pairs of the limited edition trainers signed by Eddie Halliwell himself and each are displayed in a beautiful presentation box, these can be won as runners-up prizes through ASOS in their Summer of Music competition. One lucky prize winner will win the trainers PLUS an amazing trip to Ibiza to experience one of Eddie’s amazing live DJ performances at Amnesia, home of the legendary Cream, on August 19th 2010.
