TOPMAN CTRL is an ongoing monthly series in which some of the most innovative and emerging musical talent take control of CTRL online then choose the bands for CTRL Live in a different UK city each month.
Describing our Controller is no easy task, but he’s all the better for it. Best known as a producer to many, a DJ to even more but also a club promoter, film producer and label boss.
Diplo takes CTRL online and reveals his favourite music, places and everything else that makes up his musical DNA. So far he’s mentioned speed merengue from the Dominican Republic, grunge from Trinidad and heavyweight dubstep from Israel. December is looking like a rollercoaster ride around some of the world’s most vibrant music scenes.

He’s known for discovering the best in new sounds from far flung corners of the globe and he’s come up with a killer line up for his CTRL Live event at Fabric. Save December 16th in your diaries for a pre-xmas rave-up of epic proportions with quirky pop dynamos Micachu and The Shapes headlining, ably supported by dubstep royalty Benga, rising electro star Primary 1 and the Mad Decent affiliated Mumdance.
