THE AMERICANA EDITION (published January 2012)
We are taking feature pitches and fashion submissions for the edition.
DEADLINE for submissions:
The theme is everything Americana – from the top to the bottom of the pile. Glamour, icons, decadence, beauty, voyuerism, ruin, old, new, plastic, fantastic, street, desert to mansion and back again. Its power and influence beyond the boundaries of what we already know.
We are looking for journalistic stories and ideas as well as fashion stories both at storyboard stage as well as finished.
FASHION:

1. Completed shoots must be unpublished and submitted in lo-res. Please be aware that your story may be altered through cropping.
2. Stories run between 4-8 pages. You must have enough photos for us to be able to choose which to run.
3. Concepts must be storyboarded and as much detail given to us as possible – including potential photographers/stylists.
4. Images should be portrait though we accept landscape as a possible DPS run.

1. Features must be relevant to the edition’s timescale of publication
2. If this is your first pitch or submission, please send examples of previous work
3. Disorder is interested in writing about not just actors and musicians but creative talent from across the board
4. If you are submitting an already completed feature, it must be original and unpublished in either print, online or other territories. If it’s the product of a cancelled feature elsewhere, you must have documentation to prove this.
5. Please do look at previous editions or our website and make sure it’s something that fits with Disorder.
