About

DISORDER was originally launched as a fanzine by two unemployed creatives and initial copies were distributed in London record shops, such as Rough Trade. The objective was to use the magazine as a portfolio and stepping stone for the founders’ talents, but the demand for more editions was immediate.

In 2004, with the strong support of Channel 4/4Talent, they launched the first ever mainstream edition into newsagents. DISORDER is now bought by its rabid fans in 21 countries.

The ethos behind DISORDER was forged from their humble beginnings – give exposure to talented individuals looking to work in the creative industries. It’s produced by journalists, stylists, photographers and illustrators needing a break into mainstream media. For this reason DISORDER is unique, and widely acknowledged in the creative industries as the true barometer of youth culture and an incubator of the hottest talent in the UK. In its short history, DISORDER has already launched the careers of a host of important new names now working in music, media and fashion and is set to launch many, many more, always living up to its strap-line “The Street In Print”.
